We repair render, tyrolean, as well as smooth stucco and flat rendered walls, we do not leave bare render, we always protect it with a smooth or textured exterior resin based masonry coating.
Tyrolean
Tyrolean is a cement based render incorporating silicone technology. Applied using a hand operated spraying machine, the unique ‘honeycomb’ texture is built up using several strokes from different angles until a finished thickness of 4mm – 6mm is achieved. Hardwearing & weatherproof, therefore highly suitable for coastal, suburban and rural environments.
Pargeting
Pargeting derives from the word 'parget', to roughcast a wall. However, the term is more usually applied only to the decoration in relief of the plastering between the studwork on the outside of half-timber houses, or sometimes covering the whole wall.
Stucco
Modern stucco is an exterior cement plaster wall covering. It is usually a mix of sand, Portland cement, lime and water, but may also consist of a proprietary mix of additives including fibbers and synthetic acrylics that add strength and flexibility. Modern synthetic stucco can be applied as one base layer and a finish layer, which is thinner and faster to apply, compared to the traditional application of three-coat stucco.
A wide variety of stucco accessories, such as weep screeds, control and expansion joints, corner-aids and architectural reveals are sometimes also incorporated into the lath. Wire lath is used to give the plaster something to attach to and to add strength. Types include expanded-metal lath, woven-wire lath, and welded-wire lath.
